DECEMBER'S DANCE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Sunday Workshop - Night Club Two Step -   Now here's a dance that you're going to be
surprised at.   It fills in the gaps for all those slow to medium ballads that neither regular slow dancing nor the Foxtrot work with.... Hmmmmm, come out and see for yourself, what a versatile dance this one is.  and don't let the name fool you, it's done EVERYWHERE now.... including Country dancing, ballrooms, clubs and social events....

Crash Courses on Monday Nights (This class is moving to Thursday in January).
December 1 - Rumba - a slow Latin dance, very sexy, and easy to learn.
December 8 - Samba - One of the most pulsating of the Latin dances... It's fast, it's energetic, and it's definitely
different.  But not to worry, I'll show you a social version of it that will make it much easier for you to learn.
December 15 - Tango (American Tango, not Argentine) - not like anything else.   It's a smooth dance, as in it travels around the room like a Waltz, but has wonderful fans and swivels and is done to medium-paced
music.... sooner or later, everyone has to learn the Tango, right?
December 22 - Polka - We teach a nice, social version of Polka so you can dance it anywhere you go to any type of polka music, including Country Western.   We don't do all that fancy footwork, save that for another day...  we just teach you enough basic steps and patterns to get you around the room comfortably... now this dance is FUN!

Salsa/Latin on Tuesday - December is Salsa.  Salsa continues one more month, then we'll switch off to a
couple of other Latin dances and go back to Salsa in a few month
s.   What can I say about Salsa...it's one of the  most popular of the Latin dances, and done EVERYWHERE.  Beginner and advanced beginner class starts at 8:00-9:30 (time will go back to 7:30-9:00 in January).  Two classes running together.

LATIN MOVES AND TECHNIQUES CLASS - One Night Free Trial Run - December 29.
No partner required.   We will learn steps and techniques from Latin dances, and we will go over them as a
group, dancing in a line like we do in class before we dance with our partner, only this time, we won't be
dancing with our partner.   We will continue going through various dances and steps and patterns
concentrating on getting the technique perfect.   Men and women are welcome, of course.

VIENNESE WALTZ on Wednesday - Continues for another 3 weeks.   It's not too late to join this  class if you've had some Viennese Waltz at one point.   We'll keep adding patterns, but we will do a review from  November's 3-week class.

SAMBA on Friday - this is a Latin dance done to some really great pulsating music.   It's not hard to learn
because the basic step has a little bounce to it.   It can be done without the bounce... more like a social version of it, and we can show you how.   Don't be afraid to take the class... remember we have a beginner's class, too, and we'll go very, very slow.

Saturday Nights in December
December 6 - HOLIDAY PARTY - surprise lesson!
December 13 - Salsa -
What can I say about Salsa...it's one of the most popular of the Latin dances, and done EVERYWHERE.   It's become a favorite with the younger crowd as well as the older crowd.  Done at clubs and  ballrooms and PROMS!
December 20 - Tango - (American Tango, not Argentine) - not like anything else.   It's a smooth dance, as in it  travels around the room like a Waltz, but has wonderful fans and swivels and is done to medium-paced
music.... sooner or later, everyone has to learn the Tango, right?
December 27 - Merengue - One of the easiest of the Latin dances to learn... ever.... and so much fun.... You can  learn to dance a basic merengue step in less than a minute.    Then, pretty much, with a little guidance, you can move your body and move your partner, any way the music takes you.   So easy.... you won't believe it.
